Building a Homepage for Comenius Partner Schools
  • Common Topic: European Identity- common historical roots and cultural diversity
  • Idea: Each host country delivers one task- the single tasks have to be finished until the next meeting
  • Task 1 of host country Germany: Presenting one common special feature of European history: Enlightenment (Time from about 1650 to 1800)
  1. Aim: Presentation of the European Enlightenment movement in history and literature
  2. Work: Groups do research on their topics (groups use given links and find additional information by themselves) and they create a short presentation whihc contains basic information and can be published on the Comenius project website which is designed by the participating countries- topic has to be finished until our next meeting.
  3. Topics of groups:
  • Milestones in European history
  • What is the Enlightenment?
  • Enlightenment in European literature+philosophy

Enlightenment

Introduce one famous writer of each participating country
  1. Germany: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)
  2. Italy: Carlo Goldoni (1707-1793)
  3. The Netherlands: Baruch de Spinoza (1632-1677)
  4. Spain: Benito Jeronimo Feijoo y Montenegro (1676-1764)
